His paintings have appeared in galleries in Oakland, Santa Rosa and Whidbey Island, Washington, as well as in Mother Jones magazine. He works for Goring and Straja Architects, winner in 2009 of a national "American Institutes of Architects Top Ten Green Projects Award" - http://www.aiatopten.org/hpb/overview.cfm?ProjectID=1322. Phoebe Grigg is a poet and artist living in San Francisco's Bernal Heights neighborhood with her husband, two cats, and a turtle. She was influenced as a child by her father's love of music, painting and horses, and her mother's love of words. She spent a lot of time as a girl hiking in the Marin hills and bay waterfronts with her dog and younger sisters in tow, and majored in biology in college. Her quilts express a love of color, pattern and nature, and grow out of an organic assembly process of letting each color or texture build on the last. Phoebe's book of poems on Amazon: Bird Legs Angled Out.

Steve Siebert's brain gets a hearty workout balancing the competing sides of his personality; placid, contemplative and focussed; eruptive, obsessive and stray. An English major in school, he's been working as a graphic designer since the mid '90's, when the pretty colors and shapes finally became too beautiful to resist. His daily life is centered around his wife, Marya, their two dogs and figuring out ways to stray from the modern grid for longer and longer periods of time. A mountain stream peeling through the woods and clouds seems, to him, like a pretty reasonable goal. http://www.spaceinplaceof.com ~ http://www.maryaalford.com
